ARRANGING

One of the things I love about arranging music is being able to create magical moments that highlight musicians to their best abilities, particularly when it comes to the voice. Since 2021 I’ve been working with The Little Red Company as their arranger / vocal director and have curated musical moments for their shows Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves, There’s Something About Music, Rumour Has It and the Matilda award winning Your Song. Also through Little Red, a good 5 - 6 months of my year is spent arranging music for the Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols, Brisbane’s premier Christmas event televised nationally on Channel 9.

When I’m not working with Little Red, you can find me arranging for countless choirs and vocal ensembles both from Australia and internationally. Although the predominate line of my work is vocal arranging, I absolutely love getting to work across a multitude of genres and ensembles, anything from choral ensembles to string arrangements, big band charts, electronic music and more. Previous clients include Rainbow Bop, Outside The Jukebox, Vocal Australia, The Voice Australia and many more.

CHORAL DIRECTION / ADJUDICATION

If you couldn’t already tell, my big love in life is vocal harmony and working with voices to create magical moments. With a focus in contemporary choral music and a cappella, I love working with choirs and vocal ensembles of any size. With a decade of teaching/directing choirs under my belt, I’ve created strong relationships with ensembles from Queensland University of Technology, The Little Red Company / Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols, Griffith University Gold Coast, Centenary State High School and many other school ensembles from Brisbane. In 2023 I was appointed adjudicator for the Queensland Department of Education’s Choral Fanfare, which is a state-wide festival celebrating choral singing throughout all state schools. I sang in this very competition myself from 2003 all the way through to 2011, so it was super special to be able to return in a new role after all of those years! I loved being able to listen to different ensembles throughout the Greater Brisbane region, and help to guide the young students into exploring exciting choral techniques.

CONTENT CREATION

When I’m not working on music, I love content creation and working on video projects! Born out of a need for creating visual content for one of my musical projects, I’ve developed a skill for video editing and content creation for social media, particularly specialising in Instagram Reels and TikTok (short-form content). I currently shoot and edit all of my own TikTok and Instagram content, as well as social media content for The Little Red Company and various other Brisbane online creators (including this one here).

Previous clients for video work include A Cappella Academy (USA), Vocal Australia, QUT Vox Pop, Sydney Youth Orchestras and more.
